Crescimento e crise na Argentina nos séculos XIX e XX: análise do período Frondizi

Resumo

O presente trabalho analisa as principais políticas econômicas e sociais implementadas na Argentina no período compreendido entre o final do século XIX, quando o País experimentou o início de seu intenso crescimento, até o século XX, o qual foi marcado por diversas instabilidades políticas e econômicas, causando o fim do período de crescimento acelerado, que acabou culminando com a chegada ao poder de Perón e Frondizi. O trabalho está dividido em três partes. Na primeira parte, são examinadas as características do período de crescimento iniciado no século XIX, a Belle Époque. Na segunda parte, dedicada ao século XX, são examinadas as principais características do mesmo, com destaque para o governo peronista. Na terceira parte, é analisado o período do governo de Frondizi, com ênfase na sua política industrializante, evidenciando o caráter do desenvolvimentismo econômico proposto pelo Presidente.

Growth and crisis in Argentina in the 19th and 20th centuries: analysis of the Frondizi years

Abstract
This paper analyzes the main economic and social policies implemented in Argentina during the period between the late nineteenth century, when the country experienced the beginning of its intense growth, until the twentieth century, which was marked by several political and economic instabilities, causing the end of the period of accelerated growth, which culminated in the coming to power of Perón and Frondizi. This study is divided into three parts. The first part examines the characteristics of the growth period started in the nineteenth century, the Belle Époque. The second one is devoted to the twentieth century and examines its main features, especially Perón's administration. The third one analyzes Frondizi's presidency, focusing on its industrialization policy, emphasizing the character of the president's proposed economic developmentalism.
