A dinâmica dos efeitos da segmentação setorial sobre a desigualdade de salários entre os anos de 2002 e 2012 no Brasil

Resumo

O presente artigo busca analisar como variou o impacto da segmentação setorial para a determinação do salário e do nível de desigualdade do rendimento do trabalho no Brasil entre os anos de 2002 e 2012. Dividindo os setores entre agropecuária e pesca, indústria, comércio, serviços e funcionalismo público, os resultados indicam que, de modo geral, houve uma redução da segmentação ao longo do período. Ao decompor os efeitos de cada categoria na variação da desigualdade salarial, que se reduziu no período, vemos que apenas o setor de serviços apresentou um efeito concentrador sobre a distribuição de rendimentos do trabalho, enquanto o efeito conjunto das variáveis que captam a segmentação foi pró redução da desigualdade salarial.

The dynamics of the effects of sectoral segmentation on the inequality of salaries between 2002 and 2012 in Brazil

Abstract

The present article analyzes how changed the impact of sectorial segmentation to the determination of the wage and the level of Brazil’s labor income inequality between 2002 and 2012. Dividing the sectors between farming and fishing, industry, commerce, services and public functionalism, the results indicate that occurred a reduction of the segmentation in this period. When the effect of each variable on the variation of wage inequality is decomposed, just the services sector presented a concentrator effect on the distribution of the labor income distribution, and the joint effect of the variables that capture the segmentation was of reduction on the wage inequality.
