Economia Gaúcha em 2014: o significado da falta de crescimento

Resumo

O texto analisa o desempenho da economia gaúcha em 2014, a partir, principalmente, das informações das Contas Trimestrais do RS, elaboradas pela Fundação de Economia e Estatística (FEE). O ano de 2014 foi marcado pela variação negativa de 0,3% do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) do Rio Grande do Sul, caracterizando a falta de crescimento econômico. Tal resultado decorreu do desempenho significativamente negativo da indústria e do pequeno crescimento da agropecuária e dos serviços

The economy of the State of Rio Grande do Sul in 2014: the meaning of the lack of growth

Abstract
This paper analyzes the performance of the economy of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) in 2014, based mainly on information from the Quarterly Accounts of RS, prepared by the Economics and Statistics Foundation (FEE). The year 2014 was marked by a negative variation of 0.3% in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the State, which showed a lack of economic growth. This is a result of both the significantly negative performance of industry and the low growth of agriculture and services.
