Reflexões sobre o desenvolvimento de Passo Fundo - RS: 1939-87

Resumo

This paper describes the analysis we carried out on the economic behavior of
Passo Fundo, RS, in the years 1939-87. We analyzed the relationship between the economy
of Passo Fundo and the area under its influence as well as its relationship with the
"gaúcha" and Brazilian economy. We have also compared the transformations which have
ocurred in the different economic structures as well as the effects they have had on the
urban economy of Passo Fundo.
