Sistemas Industriais Localizados o exemplo francês

Resumo

The purpose of this evaluation of the LIS's in France is to show the linkages
between that country's industrial structure and their distribution inside the national
territory. From those linkages depend: (1) the conditions for the diffusion of
technological and organizational innovations, (2) the level of flexibility and/or
adaptation of french industry regarding the process of european integration and the
internationalization of exchange relationships and, lastly, (3) the industries in which
gains of productivity will occur.
French industrialization is discussed in three topics. In the first are defined the
main characteristics of the spatial formation of the french industries where the LIS's
are located. In the second the weight, the form and the perspectives of those LIS's
in France are evaluated. In the third are presented some hypotheses about France's
specificity, in regard to the historical formation of its industrial scenario, considering
its structure and distribution.
