Desenvolvimento e crise da agricultura gaúcha: 1970-90

Resumo

This paper regards the evolution of the "gaúcha" agriculture - roughly in the
period 1970/90 - in the light oft he dynamics of the national economy, in a setting of
a strong international conjuncture influence. From external factors we succintly
explain the dynamics of the Brazilian economy and how it determined the technological
agricultural development and helped frame the agricultural markets; basically
how it shaped the primary sector in Rio Grande do Sul.
